So the fourth of July has come and gone. To me, that was always a sign that not only was Summer really here, but I better appreciate it because it was also going to be over before I knew it. I find that my game playing in the summer also kind of goes on vacation. There are just so many things to do in the summer – especially in an area like NY – where the weather is only like this for a couple of months – everyone packs in every picnic, reunion, BBQ, Graduation and wedding into June, July and August. However, I will say that at many of these events video games are now present where they hadn’t been before. Now the lone gamer isn’t a teenager who doesn’t want to talk their relatives and is sequestered into a corner with their DS or PSP. Nope! Now you have the whole party playing Wii Sports and RockBand. And I have to say, that it’s kind of nice. The one thing that’s interesting however is – if you were to ask them later if they ever play video games – they would probably say no. How interesting.
