Hi everyone,
I've been a fan of Little Miss Gamer since... to be honest, I can't remember when I first watched an episode. All I can say for sure, is that I've been of a fan of Lindsey's show since. It wasn't until recently that I decided to steer away from the PBC Productions' YouTube page and to their actual website, and that's how I ended up here.
I suppose an introduction is in order, so here goes.
My name is Michael, and I'm twenty-five years old. As a child, I pretty much grew up with a controller in my hand, or attempting to steal that controller from my brother's. Despite having gone to college for computer hardware, I currently work at the children's hospital as a health care aid. When I'm not working or enjoying an evening playing video games, I play Yu-Gi-Oh! professionally.
Here's to becoming an active member what appears to be a friendly community.

Hello everyone! My name is Michael, just like the other Michael who just joined. But Michael's probably the cuter one...I mean me-Michael, not other-Michael. I've never met the other-Michael though, so I can delude myself into thinking that other-Michael doesn't have anything on me-Michael until I do.
I just met the PBC crew at Magfest yesterday and got my DS and a hat signed, and was in the Iron Chef competition as well. You guys are a pretty cool crew, I know that sometimes a little fame gets to people's heads and they're kinda snobby and such when you meet them in person. But y'all are a cool bunch! (and Brett has an awesome selection of ties)
See you guys on the boards and around the con! _________________

I have an awesome selection of ties? I think you might mean Chad on this one, who was rocking the 8-bit tie during Iron Chef. My tie selection, frankly, is pretty average. _________________

Is your screen name a reference from an episode of Stroker and Hoop? My name is also Michael. There is a lot of us! _________________

Seconded. I alone am a seventh-degree geek with three levels in the Pedantic Jerk prestige class. I had to become and ex-bard for that, but SOOO worth it! _________________ My feet hurt...with DESTINY! |

Hey there Space Cats!
Let's go back in time - May 31st 2009 to be exact. Josh, video gamer extraordinaire and long time Dreamcast fan, spent his days roaming ScrewAttack, the blogging section if I am not mistaken. As you may have guessed, he came across the message that Video Defender Captain S would never return. This was the day Josh decided that it was his duty to carry out the Captain's legacy and protect a specific SEGA console from every evil coming its way. Using the protagonists of Segagaga and Rent-A-Hero No. 1 as a reference, a new Video Defender was created.
Things were looking pretty good. Contrary to my original belief, the Dreamcast scene was still alive and kicking considering it was 10 years old. Naturally, the first thing I had to do was assemble a team, the Dream Team. Team member #1 was a dangerous cracking specialist known as the DEPR0GRAMMER. He was reluctant at first, but ultimately decided to join after I beat him at his own game. The next team member, a hardware pro known as Dr. Eamcast, was a lot easier to convince, but sadly doesn't do nearly as much stuff as the Depro or me.
Now, being a Video Defender is fine and dandy, but you also have certain obligations to uphold. Obviously, my main goal is to make people interested in the DC, whichever way possible. Another favorite duty of mine is actually protecting the Dreamcast and its developers from piracy. Every once in a blue moon, a homebrew game developer team releases a commercial game for this long-dead console. At about the same time, full-fledged warez groups and script kiddies alike (e.g.: everyone except the Depro) try to release the game to the interwebz. This is when I kick in - using my Dream Blaster light gun, my software, as well as my development skills, I sure as hell give these guys a hard time. Please understand that I must not go into more detail here, as those nifty plans of mine work best when the "enemy" doesn't see them coming. Other than that, well, I am naturally waiting for Sega to release a new console so I can choose a successor, but we all know how likely that is.
What most of you must have been expecting when they first saw this post, was some sort of webseries posing as sort of a sequel to The New Adventures Of Captain S. If that was what you expected, I am extremely sorry to announce that I have no intention of making a webseries or simply a sequel to everyone's (second) favorite Video Defender. As a matter of fact, I am a Dreamcast Developer by trade, but more about my next blockbuster title The Rad Adventures of Captain DC will be revealed in a later post at the other subsection of the forum where it belongs.
Hm, this post has gotten a little TL;DR for an introduction, hasn't it? The deeper, sophisticated reason why I made this post today was to show you that, despite the fact you had to cancel that pet project season 2 of yours, not everything was in vain and the spirit of Sega heroism will live on. Not as a webshow, but at least manifested in the actions of hundreds of fans who were inspired by Captain S' heroic deeds.
Everyone, say it LOUD, SAY IT PROUD:
It's still thinking!
P.S.: Oh, and hello. _________________ For Great Justice! |
