There's Very Hard, and 'Impossible', which literally *is* impossible: There are NO save points.

So you will recall that I had hoped to set a new official world record for Metroid Prime Pinball yesterday.

Official TG high score: 12,250,000
My high score: 26,200,000

So basically I went into the day already knowing I could beat the record and having already done it another 2 times during this past week during practice sessions. The bad news...I didn't actually get the chance to film myself playing yesterday. The good news? I did get to play a game intermittently during shooting yesteday and this is the result:

NEW HIGH SCORE SET ON GO FOR BROKE DAY: 26,700,000

I actually managed to surpass my old high score by half a million which was actually way better than I expected to. I figured I'd easily be able to put up something around 14-15 million but I never thought I'd beat my best. So in the end I'm pretty damn proud of myself.

I played through Resident Evil 4 from start to finish, from scratch. No Chicago Typewriter, hand cannon or any suped up weapons. No glitches or cheats. Took me 9 and a half hours. Got a lot of it on tape, will edit it when I don't see infected villagers in my head anymore.

In contrast to me who used every glitch in the book XD i successfully completed my 5 game challenge with like 20 minutes left before april 6th i was so happy i took a picture ill upload it when i get a chance

I failed on everything I was thinking of doing. For some reason I just didn't feel like playing video games on Saturday. I'd start playing something and then five-ten minutes later I'd decided I didn't want to play anymore.

I'm blaming the weather for being stupidly nice.

Holy crap!

There were some Go For Broke success stories this weekend! Mine was not one of them. I was shut down by Sonic 1, which is a sad, sad shame. Next GFB I plan on actually playing the games in question BEFORE it's go time.

Mine wasn't technically a success either, since I'm STILL trying to beat God of War XD

But I still consider it a success in a way since it got me to finally get off my butt and play it, and despite how amazingly frustrating the game can be at times, I'm definitely glad I did.

If not for Go For Broke Day, I'd probably still be sitting around and going, "Hmm, I should play God of War one of these days."

27 trash bags, 18 hours, 4 cuts, and 3 fans I did it....I cleaned the BASEMENT FROM HELL! My aunt is a packrat and for my G4B I wanted it cleaned....and cleaned it I did. Now the next step is to scrub things down and make it livable...but at least things are more organized and I can move my stuff in the basement.

If your cam is DV, you'll most likely need a firewire cable and a program to capture it. I hate using it, but I'm fairly certain Windows Movie Maker has this function, and comes standard with every copy of Windows. Look for a function within the program like "capture footage" or "log and capture." Make sure your camera is hooked up with the firewire cable, and play the tape on your camera. The computer will then take whatever is playing on the camera and turn it into digital information onto your computer. Voila!

Thanks Brett, that's only half my problem solved so far. I've recorded it on a video tape as well. Any advice?

DV is tape. Do you know what kind of tape you recorded it on? DV, mini-DV, Hi-8, VHS? The answer will be the same for any of those besides VHS, which would likely be too old to have a firewire port.

Alright, I made my goal for go for broke. Ended up doing 15 heroics in 16 hours on WoW, and all the while I played it with my best friend since elementary school, who's now in Japan. Trouble is, how do I let someone in on how epic my challenge was when you can't explain it to anyone who doesn't play, or doesn't care?
